HBO Max Adds 10 Original Star Trek Movies, Brings All Eight Harry Potter Movies Back

The library’s shuffling of streaming services continues. Next month HBO Max will get all 10 of the original “Star Trek” movies – after they leave Paramount+ – and will once again show all eight of the first films in the Warner Bros. series. “Harry Potter”.

Paramount+ launched in November 2021 every Star Trek movie, and the service is also the home of exclusive streaming for every Star Trek TV show ever. However, as of October 1, 2022, the original ten films are no longer available.

Starting November 1, 10 Star Trek films will be broadcast on HBO Max: “Star Trek: The Motion Picture” Director’s Edition (1979); “Star Trek 2: Khan’s Wrath” (1982); “Star Trek III: The Search for Spock” (1984); “Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home” (1986): “Star Trek V: The Final Frontier” (1989); “Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country” director cut (1991); “Star Trek: Generations” director’s cut (1994); “Star Trek: First Contact” (1996); “Star Trek: Rebellion” (1998); and “Star Trek: Nemesis” (2002). HBO Max hasn’t revealed the window length on the movies.

Meanwhile, Wizarding World will return to HBO Max, with the Harry Potter eight magically appearing on the streaming device on November 1 (having recently left the platform on August 31). Titles have bounced back and forth between HBO Max and NBCUniversal’s Peacock for several years, with various window agreements between the companies — demonstrating the power of fan-favorite movie franchises to retain subscribers.

Also coming to HBO Max in November: “Titans” Season 4 (November 3), following the young heroes of the DC Universe as they battle a supernatural cult in the Metropolis on their way back to San Francisco; “Magnolia Tables with Joanna Gaines” (November 4th); Season 2 of the original series “The Sex Life of College Girls” (November 17); “Shack” (November 23), a documentary series on how basketball legend Shaquille O’Neal became a cultural icon; and the documentary “Love, Lizzo” (November 24), which follows the pioneering singer’s journey from her humble beginnings to her meteoric rise.

On November 3, HBO Max will premiere the 53rd season of Sesame Street, which features celebrities and special guests Mickey Gayton, Amber Raven, Zazzie Beetz, First Lady Dr. Jill Biden, Samuel L. Jackson, Brett Goldstein, Ava DuVernay and Heim.

Plus, new holiday movies coming exclusively to HBO Max this November include A Christmas Story Christmas (November 17), which follows Ralphie, now an adult, who returns to the home on Cleveland Street to give his friends a Christmas a magician’s birthday; “Holiday Harmony” (November 24), is about a singer-songwriter who travels across the country hoping to make it big and ends up with a group of misfit kids hoping to perform on Christmas Eve; and “Christmas Mystery” (November 24), after a group of daring kids attempt to solve the case of the disappearance of Santa’s magical bells.

The new titles coming to HBO Max in November 2022 come after Warner Bros. Discovery recently made content cuts to the service to get commitments to pay streaming content for low-performing titles from its books, including several movies, series, and 200 older “Sesame Street” episodes.
