TJ Holmes and Amy Robach put on a united and happy front in their first public sighting since being suspended from “Good Morning America 3” due to their alleged affair.
Although their careers hang in the balance while ABC conducts an investigation into the nature of their relationship, the two anchors seemed comfortable and committed to each other as they strolled the rainy New York City streets Thursday — arm in arm.
In photos obtained by the Daily Mail, the two are seen smiling and laughing as they make their way down the sidewalk after a supposed lunch date at Capital Grill.
Holmes, 45, and Robach, 49, dined at the restaurant’s bar, where they enjoyed steak, salad and wine. They sat close to each other and talked throughout the meal.
After lunch, the duo returned to Holmes’ apartment in the Financial District.
While the anchors matched blue jeans and neutral peacock coats for the outing, Holmes opted for black sneakers and a black scarf, while Robach completed her look with brown boots and a white hoodie.
On Tuesday, an insider said in an email that the two “wouldn’t dare get caught… while ABC makes a decision.”
“Their marriages are over, but they have children to think about, and they don’t want to jeopardize their future with the network any more than they already have,” the informant said.
However, a source told E! News the next day that the pals are “very much still together”.
Amid ABC’s investigation into the alleged Holmes and Robach affair, more has emerged about his alleged relationships with at least two other employees on the job, including married producer Natasha Singh.
Holmes and Robach’s friendship allegedly turned romantic after they began training together for the New York City Half Marathon in March — when they were both still married to other people.
However, Robach’s divorce from Andrew Shue is nearing completion, and a friend told us the “Melrose Place” alum “moved in earlier this summer.”
But Holmes’ wife, Marilee Febig – whom he married in 2010 – was apparently “shocked” by his alleged romance with Robach.
In fact, a source told Page Six that Holmes and Febig were in the midst of trying to fix their marriage when news of Robach broke. Holmes and Febig even spent some time together on their birthday in August.
