Apple’s online storefront slipped ahead of the expected announcement of the new iPad models via a press release.

When the online store crashed, Apple CEO Tim Cook apparently tweeted a teaser to announce a new product with the hashtag “#TakeNote,” which could refer to the Apple Pencil and the iPad‌’s note-taking capabilities:

yesterday, BloombergApple’s Mark Gorman said that Apple plans to unveil new iPad Pro models today. The announcement is expected to come via a press release on Apple’s newsroom website.

Next-generation iPad Pro models are expected to include an M2 chip, MagSafe wireless charging, two new four-port connectors on the top and bottom side edges, and camera upgrades. The update has been expected for some time, not least because current iPad Pro models are over 18 months old.

Apple is also rumored to be planning a 10th generation iPad with a larger 10.5-inch screen, a USB-C port, flat edges, an A14 Bionic chip, 5G support on cellular models, possibly Touch ID, a power button, and a horizontal FaceTime camera. It is still unclear if this device will be announced today as well along with the new ‌iPad Pro‌ models.
