Lost Ark Academy – Mechanic

Archesia heroes,

On September 28, the advanced mechanics will arrive in Arkecia. The mechanic is armed to the teeth with the latest Artentine’s machine guns, lasers and drones – ready to blast, incinerate and neutralize any threat with surgical precision.

The mechanic will join Deadeye, Gunslinger, Artillerist and Sharpshooter as the fifth Gunner Advanced Class. In this Lost Ark Academy, you’ll find information to see if a Mechanic is the right class for you – and if so, it will help you start planning the skills and inscriptions you’re interested in using to enhance your impact on the battlefield.

Main mechanics and class identity

The mechanic comes armed with an arsenal of high-tech weapons and a drone capable of precise remote strikes and unique attacks. When weapons and drone strikes aren’t enough to shoot down a target, the Mechanic can activate their ID skill and match the cutting edge technology with the Hypersync ability. The energy cores of a high-tech Hypersync suit can be charged via drop attacks, and once inside, the Hypersync core energy will be spent by abilities until the mechanic runs out.

Mechanic skills fall into four categories; Normal, Drone, Combo, and Sync. Regular skills center around an arsenal of high-tech weapons and grenades packed by the Mechanic, all of which charge a Hypersync battery. Drone skills focus on using the drone in unique ways – firing missiles, lasers, and even kids’ drones in precise, faraway strikes. Combined Skills focuses on the mechanic and the drone working together in harmony to unleash powerful combined attacks. Finally, Sync Skills are the uniquely powerful attacks launched by the high-tech suit that can only be accessed while Hypersync is active.

Class engraving skills

Like the other advanced classes, the Mechanic has two unique class patterns that enhance different aspects of the class. The Legacy Class mode focuses on Hypersync, adding damage, decreasing cooldowns and giving Core Energy again to increase time spent in the high-tech suit. To enhance another key aspect of the class, the Argentinian skill class pattern is centered around the mechanic’s team working with the drone, by increasing the drone’s skills, joints, and movement speed while connecting the drone to the mechanic.

And remember, these are just the basic skills – each can be further customized with a tripod system as you experiment to find what works best against the myriad of threats found throughout Arkesia.

Ordinary skills

  • Bullet Hail – Aim and fire multiple times to damage and partially recharge the battery. Skill use also gains overload.

  • Charged Battery – Throw an overcharged battery to the target location. The battery will ignite and cause damage. It will then explode and do damage, throwing the target into the air, partially recharging the battery.

  • Moving shot – Use roll to quickly move towards the target location. Use Roll again to shoot repeatedly at the target location, taking damage and partially recharging the battery. Get a refinement of reloading when using Roll.

  • Strategic Shooting – Use the skill to get into a firing position. Aim and shoot repeatedly, taking damage and partially recharging the battery. Use the skill to get an overload.

  • Backhand – lunge forward and drag your gun to deal damage. Use the skill again to stomp your feet and inflict damage. Attach a powerful bomb to an opponent, then somersault to get away. The bomb explodes after several seconds and deals damage to enemies around it, partially recharging the battery. Deal with an impulsive attack or a roll to enable a frontal attack and counterattack.

  • High Voltage Bullet – Use the electric stun gun quickly to shoot forward and do damage, electrocute enemies and partially recharge the battery.

  • Pulse Fire – Fire a forward pulse bullet, damage the wounded enemy and partially recharge the battery.

  • Avalanche – rush forward and do damage. Tap an extra group to shoot the cone and do damage. Confirming the kill takes damage and partially recharges the battery. Counterattack can be done with a dash attack. Get overloaded when charging.

Drone skills

  • Command: Flare Beam – The drone fires lasers at the target location, causing damage.

  • Command: Active Pulse – The drone instantly generates a pulse wave that attacks its surroundings from the current location and causes damage.

  • Command: M143 machine gun – the drone flies towards the target location while shooting at enemies and doing damage.

  • Command: Baby Drones – The drone sends small, self-destructing drones to the target location, causing damage.

  • Command: Carpet – Send a flying drone towards the target location and drop bombs that do damage.

  • Command: Missile Raid – The drone launches missiles at the target location and deals damage, hitting the enemies.

  • Command: Siege – Send a drone flying towards the target location. The drone shoots at enemies as it spins around, causing damage.

Common skills

  • Annihilation Mode – Immediately summon a drone and stand back to back as you shoot enemies while spinning 450 degrees in total. Every time you rotate 90 degrees, you’ll shoot and do damage.

  • Fiery Escape – Immediately summon a drone and ride it forward while shooting enemies and doing damage.

  • Energy Buster – Instantly summon a drone and turn it into a Buster. Attach it to your arm and once it’s charged, release the power forward. When the thrower is not fully charged, deal damage and paralyze the striking enemy. When overcharging, deal damage and hit enemies.

Sync skills

  • Comet Strike – Teleport to the target location and dash forward, doing damage by hitting enemies and sending them back.

  • Slugshot Raise your right hand and shoot the laser forward to deal damage. Airborne enemies are launched into the air when hit. Use after Comet Strike or Thruster Move to use the skill faster.

  • Laser Blade – Generates laser blades in both hands that damage enemies and shoot them away. Use it after a Comet Strike or Thruster Move to deal increased damage.

  • Echelon Beam Jump up and shoot a laser forward to deal damage. Use it after Comet Strike or Thruster Move to perform the skill faster.

  • Surge Blow – Extend your fists while charging forward and do damage, then do damage in a cone-shaped area and hit enemies.

  • Crimson Breaker – Develop parts to shoot the laser forward and do damage.

Awakening skills

  • Air Strike – Send a signal to the target location to drop a bomb that deals damage multiple times.

  • Command: Final Blast – Order the drone to self-destruct. The drone will instantly self-destruct at the current location, inflicting massive damage to nearby enemies. After the skill is completed, the drone will be regenerated at your location.
