After extremely poor viewership ratings, Disney decided to push the first two episodes of “Andor” to ABC, FX, Hulu, and Freeform.

The Walt Disney Company has announced that it will release the first two episodes of the latest Star Wars series Andor To ABC, Freeform, FX, and Hulu as the show’s ratings are sitting in the toilet.

Andor Viewer ratings have been at the bottom of Nielsen Channel’s top 10 streaming series on or even off since it was initially released on Disney+ on Sept. 21.

The first three episodes, released together, ran in just 624 million minutes.

Such poor viewership numbers led YouTuber Valliant Renegade to declare Star Wars a dead brand.

He said: “Look again at these horrible numbers for andor, 624 million minutes watched, and soak it up on Disney because you did it. Disney’s animosity toward fans is exactly what they’ve received again, and even worse, they’ve received a wealth of indifference from the Star Wars fandom. They just don’t care anymore.”

“You see, it doesn’t matter how good Andor is,” he explains. And again I understand a lot of people love the show and it’s great and one of the best Star Wars shows they’ve done up to this point. And that’s great and I’m glad those fans are enjoying it. I’m not here to take that away from you. I’m here looking strictly at the business side of it. Stuff. I look at the numbers and read the tea leaves and it’s pretty bad for Star Wars right now.”

Viewer numbers only dropped from there. Latest reviews for the week ending October 16th show Andor It brought only 405 million minutes of viewing.

That’s only good for seventh in the “Original” class behind Nielsen Strong woman And the The Great British Baking Show.

ABC: Wednesday, November 23, 9-10:30 p.m. ET/PT

free form: Friday, November 25th, 9-10:30 p.m. ET/PT

In a press release, Disney attempted to spin the release of the first two episodes as a celebration of the series’ final writing, “to celebrate the hotly anticipated Lookout Andor Finale on Disney+, and to help kick off the Thanksgiving holiday, The Walt Disney Company will offer viewers a special opportunity to catch the first two episodes of the popular series across unparalleled distribution platforms including ABC, FX, Freeform and Hulu.”
