Let’s get to Philadelphia Eagles Links…
Line move: The Giants get some boost ahead of Sunday’s game against the Eagles – Music City Miracles
As we continue to work towards the Big Eagles-Titans game on Sunday, we’re seeing some good sized line action in this matchup. The Giants, who came off a loss to the Bengals, were installed as a 6.5-point underdog Sunday night. Today, according to DraftKings Sportsbook, that number is down to +4.5. This is a very exciting move for the NFL line, as the Road Titans are getting some serious love from the pros. This comes as the Giants are still dealing with some major injuries, most notably with linebackers Deniko Autry and Jeffrey Simmons. [BLG Note: The line is actually down to Titans +4 on DraftKings Sportsbook.]
Mike Vrabel directs Derrick Henry in the ground – BGN
You know how the Eagles have been criticized for not hitting anyone? The Titans have a bigger lead in their division and a very weak resume. Their seven wins this season were against the two-time Colts, the Raiders, and the Leaders with Carson Wentz, the Texans, the Broncos, and the Packers. All of them had a difference of 10 points or less. However, is this perhaps the second strongest team the Eagles will face this season? Not because they are that good, but because of a conflict of styles. The Eagles defense team is up against a not-so-modern version of Smashmouth football. If you love watching teams run the ball, and running the ball should be fun, then this is the game for you. Only five teams have made more than half of their plays: the Bears, Falcons, Eagles, Titans, and Giants.

Talking Titans – Eagles Blitz
The flip side of Tennessee playing such good defense is that they struggle on offense. They are 26th in points and 29th in yards. Their offense is 19th in DVOA. They had a rookie QB start two games and that definitely hurt their numbers. With veteran Ryan Tannehill, they’re mediocre. This is one of the few teams in the league where the most important player is the RB. Derrick Henry is a beast. He’s one of my favorite players in the league. Henry isn’t just good, he’s special. He’s one of those guys you’ll tell your kids you watched play. He is very big, strong and physical. What makes him special is that he also has more of a wiggle than people would expect, and if he makes it to space, he’ll have the speed to take it all the way. Henry is second in the league in rushing (behind Josh Jacobs, who is having a great year). But Henry has slowed down in the past three games. Against DEN – 19 against 53, against GB – 28 against 87, against CIN – 17 against 38. Wow. And remember, the run defense didn’t have an answer for the Eagles last week. The fact that they held Henry up to 87 yards is insane. It seemed like the teams won the line of scrimmage and didn’t give Henry any room to run.
Eagles Q&A: Cam Jurgens – NBCSP’s Other Dream Job
Each week during the 2022 season, we review the Eagles media guide to find an interesting nugget. The Eagles PR interns do a great job filling in these little oddities in the media clues and serve as a good way to interview the player behind the helmet. This week, we chatted with junior center Cam Jurgens, whose dream job outside playing football would be: “Probably being a NASCAR driver, especially when you were a little kid.” Me: Was NASCAR a big deal in your family? Jurgens: I think it probably happened when I was a little kid. Maybe I thought it would be fun to be an NFL player or a NASCAR driver.
NFL Week 13 Picks, Schedule, Odds, Injuries, Stats, Fantasy Tips – ESPN
What to watch: The Eagles’ rushing defense has allowed 525 yards (131.5 per game) over the past four games, which ranks 23rd over that span. Now he will face his toughest test in Derrick Henry, who ranks second in rushing yards (1,048). Freshman defensive tackle Jordan Davis (sprained ankle) is eligible to come off injured reserve this week. His presence is sure to help the Philadelphia defense adjust to life without safety CJ Gardner-Johnson, with a torn kidney.
Spadaro: 6 story events to follow on Sunday Against the Titans – PE.com
2. The third place is the place for this game. Philadelphia’s offense is third in the NFL, turning 47.2 percent of the time. Tennessee’s defense ranks first in the league, allowing a sluggish conversion rate of 30.7 percent. Something has to give here, right? It is critical for the Eagles to keep their negative plays to a minimum so that the offense can work with as many manageable situations as possible. Love that quarterback sneak in short yardage situations? We all do. It will be interesting to see how it performs against the Titans. On the other side of the equation, Tennessee’s offense converts a third down just 37 percent of the time to 27th in the league while the Eagles defense ranks 15th, allowing more than 39 percent to convert. As always, this is an important part of the game.
Cowboys stocking and stocking before week 13 – blogging on the boys
Talented as the current Cowboys team is, it shares a common thread with last year’s 12-5 team, and those are the penalties. On the bright side, the Cowboys are down from 7.8 penalties in 2021 to 7.5 penalties in 2022 so far. Minor improvement aside, Dallas is the second most punished team in the league. In just the last three games, the Cowboys have been penalized 9.3 times per game which is the most in the league. Just in the last game alone, Team America was penalized 13 times, which was higher than the rest of the NFL in Week 12. The next highest value of penalties last week was nine penalties called for two teams, the Cincinnati Bengals. , and the Tampa Buccaneers. If the Cowboys want to make a deep run in this year’s playoffs, they need to clean things up. Both the players and the coaching staff need to get it together and right this ship. From the player’s perspective, there is no excuse for all mental errors. Mental fouls also fall into the coaching staff’s lap. As legendary New England Patriots coach Bill Belichick always preaches, “Do your job.” That kind of mentality has clearly worked for Coach Belichick, considering he has six rings to his credit. For the Cowboys to take things to the next level, which is championship level, then they need to clean up penalties. And as a reminder, the total amount of penalties the Cowboys committed in a wild card loss to the San Francisco 49ers last year was 14. At the end of the day, only talent can take a team so far, and for this talented roster to win they all need to clean things up. If they don’t, we’ll have a repeat in 2021.
Washington Injury Update: Chase Young is a long shot against the Giants – Hogs Haven
If Young is disqualified tomorrow morning, he will miss his 13th game of the season, and the 21st game since his ACL ruptured on 11/14/21. Washington finally gets its bye in Week 14 which gives Young two more weeks to practice and prepare for the Giants game at FedEx Field. Rivera said Young will likely be up for surprises when he plays, potentially 12-16 shots. Washington’s defense has improved since the start of the season, which is a big reason they’ve won 6 of their last 7 games, and they’re currently the 7th seed in the NFC picture. Young’s return as situational passes could give them a huge boost when he’s healthy.

Our Expert NFL Picks for Week 13 of 2022 – SB Nation
This week is another unpredictable week. We have a really even odds game between the Lions and the Jaguars that’s a complete sham, but one of the more exciting games might be the Jets vs. Vikings. Here we have one of the best defensive teams in the NFL with an elite rookie in Sauce Gardner taking on Justin Jefferson and the Vikings’ passing offense. Mike White can continue to play well on offense, and this could be another very close game. Let’s see who we take it all in this week.
