Before Paramount’s last attempt to follow Star Trek Beyond There was a “Star Trek 4” project in development that would return Chris Hemsworth to the role of George Kirk. This project was close to production including having a director, but it fell apart in 2018 due to salary negotiations with Chris Hemsworth and Chris Pine. Now plans to book that original behind The sequel reveals details about their movie
The writing duo of JD Payne and Patrick McKay are currently the showrunner for another big type of franchise: Amazon Ambition. The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power. A Trek script from 2016 would have seen James T. Kirk (Chris Pine) reunite with his long-deceased father George Kirk (Chris Hemsworth). They recently spoke to Esquire about their career, rings of strengthAnd, of course, Star Trek appeared. The writing duo shared some details about this text for the first time.
Likes Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade in the space
Patrick McKay: Vanity was that by a cosmic whim in Star Trek Globalism, [Pine and Hemsworth’s characters] we are at the same age. It would have been a father-son space adventure – think Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade in the space. We were thrilled about it. We had a really original and cool villain 2001: space flightThe idea of science fiction at its core. We’ve been working on it for two and a half years with Lindsay Webber, our non-written executive producer rings of strengthand wonderful director, S.J. Clarkson. The movie eventually fell apart and that was such a sadness for us. It’s part of what got us here, because it made us think, “Oh, my God, with a great IP, great movie stars, and a haircut that we all have a chance of being cool with, it just can’t come together.” We felt like the wind was turning against the big movies, which is part of what made us start taking TV so seriously. That led us to rings of strength. But we would have loved to make this movie. I want to spoil an interesting part of it – how they end up together. Can we do that, JD?
Payne dinar: Of course, why not? There is an episode of Star Trek: The Next Generation It’s called “Relex” where they find Scotty, who has been trapped in the carrier for two decades, and they are able to go on a great adventure with him. Our vanity was, “What if before Kelvin was affected by that huge mining ship, George Kirk tried to transfer himself to his wife’s shuttle where his son, Jim Kirk was born? And what if the ship didn’t explode completely — what if it left some space junk?” Think about the time you send It has a text message in it and you typed it in, but you didn’t quite hit send. On the other side, they see those three little dots that someone wrote. It’s as if the carrier has absorbed its pattern into the pattern buffer, but hasn’t spit it out on the other side. It was actually a saved copy of it that was on the computer.
Patrick McKay: So the adventure is that Chris Pine and crew project He must search for the shipwreck on which his father died due to a mystery and a new villain. In the ship, they found his father’s pattern. They took him out and he had no idea that no time had passed at all, that he was looking at his son. Then the adventure starts from there.
For years, we’ve been wondering what sci-fi gimmick they were going to use to bring Crysis together, and now we finally have a slightly better idea of how to do it. what do you think?
