fell in theaters had brought to the silver screen for the first time in a live event. With Dwayne Johnson in the lead role, Adam battles both hero and villain after being released from prison for 5,000 years, from the first scenes to the credits roll (a relatively cool post-credits scene).
Richard Trenholm from CNET. “Now it’s here, and it doesn’t feel that important. Still, it’s a great period in cinema, and what more do you want from the rock?”
a lot of thisSpinoff’s conflict is caused by friction between Adam and the American Justice Society, which includes Dr. Fate (Pierce Brosnan), Hawkman (Aldis Hodge), Atom Smasher (Noah Centineo) and Hurricane (Quintessa Swindell).
However, there is another hero waiting in the wings. A character who only appears at the end of the first Black Adam adventure. Let’s Shazam our way to Earth spoilers And speaking of the post-credits scene.
The Man of Steel returns
With demonic hero Sabbac torn in two and Black Adam firmly established as hero Kahndaq, Task Force X chief Amanda Waller (played by Viola Davis, last seen inseries ) sends a drone to the temple where Adam is stuck so you can have a friendly zoom with the heroes.
Unfortunately, Waller is unable to be friendly and angry at Adam’s escape from captivity at their base. She warns him to stay in Kahndaq or else she will send very powerful people who owe her a debt to stop him.
Adam basically tells her to bring it up, so a flying object descends heavily and a familiar familiar silhouette emerges from the smoke.
Guys, guys, it’s just Superman (Henry Cavill).
“It’s been a while since anyone has made the world so nervous,” says the Kryptonian champion. “Black Adam, we should talk.”
what does that mean?
We’ll get more of Cavill’s version of Superman, and he’ll almost certainly fight Black Adam. The scene ends with Superman inviting Superman to chat, but Adam’s short fuse means they are almost certain to have a major battle with piles of property damage and mysterious loss of life.
Johnson has thoughts on how the fight will go, he told YouTuber Jake’s Takes in an interview ahead of the film’s release.
He said, “I think Black Adam landed with the first punch. Now, I don’t know if Black Adam landed the last punch.” “I can see things clearly… what this scene looks like, what this movie looks like, what the next three movies look like. Now, whether it pays off or not — it always helps, when you have that kind of clarity.”
Cavill Supes first appeared in the 2013 movie Man of Steel and was last seen in(aka Snyder Cut) is set in 2021, and the end of this movie left us .
The director said this isn’t canon, but the 2017 version of Snyder Cut and Joss Whedon see the current incorrupt Superman join Batman and Wonder Woman preparing to create the Justice League.
The team also appeared on the finale of the HBO show Peacemaker earlier this year, but Superman remained in the shadows in this appearance (played by Brad Abramenko). The character appeared in a similar fashion in 2019’s Shazam, only being seen from the neck down (and portrayed by Ryan Handley).
So Superman wasn’t too far from our screens, but there wasIt was reported that studio Warner Bros. He wanted to be cast as a black actor in the role, but the character is iconic and archetype enough that multiple versions could exist (and possibly come together in a multi-universal crossover like ).
RecentlyIt added fuel to the idea that the studio might move on from Cavill, although the actor’s popularity made that unlikely. There hasn’t been any official word on him doing another Superman solo movie, but The Hollywood Reporter noted that Warner Bros. is determined to give Cavill another outing and is currently looking for a book.
Speaking to MTV on October 26, Cavill noted that future appearances will lean toward the character’s inherent optimism.
“There is such a bright future ahead for the character, and I am so excited to tell a story with a very cheerful Superman,” he said.
Since the film’s release, the parent company has appointed Warner Bros. Discovery director James Gunn (responsible forand Peacemaker) and producer Peter Safran . It’s unclear how this will change his plans for Superman.
What can comics tell us?
Adam Black Adam’s long comic book history is complicated by DChaving begun as a villain in 1945. He’s become more refined in the decades since, as he transforms into a dark hero who often enters into turbulent alliances with heroes (mostly because he’s violent, unpredictable and kind of a jerk).
It could happen in the next movie too – Adam and Superman will have an epic battle before reaching some kind of truce. Despite his physical prowess, Superman is traditionally prone to magic, which means Adam would have an advantage.
Hopefully Shazam will step in too, because he and Superman sprout and powers Shazam from the same source as Adam. We can get a hint from that atslated for release in theaters March 17, 2023.
